This is an Eli and Samuel Terry Pillar and scroll clock in the definitely as found condition. Purchased at a real bargain price, it definitely will provide lots of opportunity for restoration fun. As received it came with the original movement, dial and hands. It is missing the the feet, scroll and label. The tablet is a poor replacement so that wil need to be redone as well.
It is interesting to note that the dial is stamped with a small “ST” in the upper right hand corner. It is thought that Eli Terry contracted the making of the dials at this point in time and that some of the dials were designated for Samuel Terry by this type of marking. There are several other reported examples of Samuel Terry clocks with these markings on the dial.
